Both are temporary, so we would expect some recovery as conditions settle.

What is behind the year-on-year change
The year-on-year decline is in click volume, not in ranking position. Average Google position improved over the year, from 20.1 to 13.8, so the site is ranking higher than it was. With clicks down 33%, it is the volume of clicks that has fallen. What is driving that, such as overall search demand or AI answers absorbing more queries, sits outside what this weekly report measures.
